FAQ on Computer History General Knowledge by @GSTECHNOGUIDE
Father of Computer किसे कहा गया हे /कंप्यूटर का जनक किसे खा गया हे |
Ans.
Ans.
Period of First Generation Computer know as
Ans. 1946-1959 (Vacume Tube Based) Vaccume Tube Also Known as Cathod Ray Tube(CRT)
Note: The Cathode-Ray Tube is a vacuum tube, It contains one or more electron guns, the beams of which are manipulated to display images on a phosphorescent screen. specialized vacuum-tube in which images are produced when an electron beam strikes on phosphorescent surface. The images may represent electrical wave-forms, pictures, Its also used in Missile making sysytem radar targets.
Period of Second Generation Computer know as
Ans. 1960-1965 (Use of Transistor ) or 1959 to 1965 (Transistor Based)
Note: A Transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power. Transistors are the basic building blocks of modern electronics. It is composed of semiconductor material usually with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit.
Period of Third Generation Computer know as
Ans. 1965-1971 (Integrated Circuit Based)
Note: An integrated circuit is also called as monolithic integrated circuit or Microchip/ IC Chip/, is a set of electronic circuits on one small flat piece of semiconductor material that is fabricated by silicon material. it consist thousand of MOS(Metal Oxide Silicon) .It brings the revolution in the world because ICs are used in almost all electronic equipment like Mobile Phone,T.V,Setup box,Remote controler, computer etc
Period of Fourth Generation Computer know as
Ans. 1971-1980 (VLSI Microprocessor Based) Very Large Scale Integration -Microprocessor chip
Note:-Very large-scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating an integrated circuit (IC) by combining millions of MOS transistors onto a single chip. VLSI began in the 1970s when MOS integrated circuit chips were widely adopted, enabling complex semiconductor and telecommunication technologies to be developed.
Period of Fifth Generation Computer know as
Ans. 1980-Continue (ULSI Microprocessor Based) Ultra Large Scale Integration -Microprocessor chip. AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Note:ULSI (Ultra Large Scale Integration)was designed to provide the greatest possible computational power from the smallest form factor of microchip or microprocessor .
Intel 486 and the Pentium series , higher(Present...) AI (Artificial Intelligence) processors were built on ULSI principles..
Number of Major Categories classified by there speed and Computing power are?
Answer Five(5) Types of Computer
1.Personal Computer-(Single User Computer and having Microprocessor)
2.Workstation Computer(having more powerfull Microprocessor then PC,It's also Single user
3.Mini Computer (It is a Multi user Computer /capable to support and handle 100 of user Simultaneously.
4.Main Frame Computer (It is a also Multi user Computer /capable to support and handle 1000 of user Simultaneously, having different software technology. It is very large in size and it is very expensive
4.Super Computer ( These are very Fastest Computer and deployed for a specific application or task.
For example, weather forecasting, scientific simulations, (animated) graphics, fluid dynamic calculations, nuclear energy research, electronic design, and analysis of geological data (e.g. in petrochemical prospecting)
Components of Computer
1.CPU-(Central Processing Unit)
2.Input Devices(Mouse,Keyboard etc)
3.Output Devices(Printer,Monitor etc)
4.Memory(RAM/ROM)
CPU (Central Processing Uinit
Q.1 CPU Known as ?/ कंप्यूटर का मस्तिष्क किसे कहा जाता हे?
Ans. Brain of Computer / CPU को कंप्यूटर का मस्तिष्क भी कहा जाता हे | some time many of called heart of computer
Q.2 CPU Contain number of Units.
Ans. 3 (:1) Control Unit-It controls the operation and give the command to processor.
(2) ALU (Arithmetic and Logical Unit)-This one performs all the arithmetic operation and and stored in Register.
(3) Memory
1) Primary Memory: this Also Called Volatile Memory/RAM(Random Access Memory).ROM(Read Only Memory)Data stored in ROM cannot be electronically modified after the manufacture of the memory device..
2) Secondary Memory: this Also Called Non Volatile Memory Best Example Hard disk
